About Snow trips victoria
Good Day Guys,
Only if you really think about Great Ocean Road tours?!
We have detailed information about Great Ocean Road Tour
Every Aussie traveller planning accommodation on the Great Ocean Road knows that it’s not just about where you stay — it’s about how you start your day. Whether you join a guided tour like Autopia Tours or set off solo, this stretch of coast is all about switching off from city chaos and letting the ocean breeze and night skies do a bit of work.
I’ve spent countless weekends along this coast, staying in places from basic campsites near Cape Otway to pretty sweet ocean-view cottages near Port Campbell, and I can tell you — picking the right digs can define your Great Ocean Road trip.
This drive is legendary — over 240 kilometres of coastal road built in the 1930’s by men fresh from wartime service. But it’s what happens off the main lookouts — bonfires on the beach, penguin parades at sunset, and fish & chips in Lorne — that turns it into a real trip, not just a scenic drive.
When it comes to picking accommodation, it all comes down to your travel style — boards on top of the car or a boot full of luggage. This coastal road offers every type of accommodation under the sun: eco tents tucked among stringybarks, boutique hotels right on the beach, or cabins hidden away in national park bushland you’ll be talking about for years.

About Great Ocean Road tours
Hi Girls,
Only if you really think about 12 Apostles tour?!
We have detailed information about whale spotting
You simply can’t do a drive along the Great Ocean Road without stopping at the Port Campbell National Park area — it’s the raw, storm-shaped soul of Victoria’s southern coastline. On my first visit with a small group from Autopia Tours, the towering limestone stacks were burning amber under a dramatic sky, and the crash of the Southern Ocean was louder than the bus engine.
This stretch of coast doesn’t do quiet beauty — it’s raw, wild and full of stories, etched by waves and weather.
Not many national parks pack this much into a compact stretch of coastline. The coast is only around 30 kilometres long, but it’s home to Australia’s most photographed landmarks — the 12 Apostles, the Loch Ard Gorge cliffs and the famous London Bridge formation. Every bend in the road opens up another showstopper (and honestly, your photo gallery will take a hammering).
A Great Ocean Road tour often arrives as the sun drops, and for good reason. Catching the 12 Apostles at sunset is a front-row ticket to nature’s light show — layers of orange, pink and purple reflecting across the cliffs. It’s also when the day crowds thin out, the surf rolls in steady, and the coastline feels older than memory.
You’ll find Port Campbell about 230 km west of Melbourne. Most people tackle it as part of a Great Ocean Road drive — a ribbon of bitumen that clings to cliffs, winds through lush rainforest and cuts across farmland before meeting the ocean. The journey is the experience.
